A LITTLE PIECE OF ME

The studio is where I am most present. Music is usually somewhere in the room. Sometimes loud. Sometimes subtle. Sometimes barely there. It's the love of music that stirs the spirit, entices the soul, and makes its way to the canvas. The art would never exist without the music. 

I work through color, rhythm, movement, and light. I allow the painting to change its mind. I allow myself to change mine. There is eventually a moment when the work no longer asks anything of me. That's when I leave it alone and prepare to share a little piece of me.

The works are titled through spiritual inclination. I do not give the viewer instructions. I don't ask you to search for a story. The painting has already become its own, and the story behind it shall belong to the collector who chooses the work.

What happens between the work and the person standing before it is personal. Sacred, even. I believe some things should remain that way.

THE PRIVATE STUDIO  

The studio does not maintain much of a public presence. There is no expectation of daily access. No continuous documentation of the artist's private life. No need to make every creative moment public. 

Instead, the studio opens selectively. Intimate shows. Private exhibitions. Selective public exhibitions. Collector previews. Occasional behind-the-scenes access. Selected studio correspondence.

The work is shared when there is something worth sharing. Then the studio becomes calm again. Record playing in the background. Tea or whiskey in a cup. Mentally resetting.

 

PRIVATE PRESENTATIONS

From time to time, collectors and invited guests are welcomed into intimate presentations of new and selected works.

Attendance is intentionally limited. Details are shared privately through the studio. 

STUDIO CORRESPONDENCE

Occasional notes from behind the work. New works. Private presentations. Fine art editions. Music from the room. A glimpse of something still becoming. Sent only when there is something to share.
